Military Range--> Fighter/Trainer Aircraft FT-6

Based on the prototype of fighter aircraft F-6, Shenyang Aircraft Corporation succeeded in developing and building FT-6 aircraft specially for the purpose of training pilots for supersonic fighter aircraft, or carrying out the flight missions by twin-seater. Trial production started in 1967, its initial flight was successfully conducted on Nov. 6, 1970 and the finalization of design was adopted in November 1973.
