　　June 15, 2002, CPC Central Committee Poli-Bureau standing member & State vice president Hu Jintao arrived at SAC and received a warm welcome.

　　8:40 am, SAC NC-machining center is prevailed over with a cordial atmosphere while Hu Jintao happily shaking hands one by one with Liu Guoqiang, vice governor of Liaoning Province; Liu Gaozhuo, vice president of AVIC Corporation I; SAC leading staff headed by President Li Fangyong and CPC SAC 　Committee secretary Guo Xinghua and such others as model workers, the representatives of scien-tech picks, etc. By the side of an NC machine tool, a master worker is busy with the KEY project while clapping his hands to welcome the arrival of Hu Jintao as he passing-by. Hu stopped in front of a running 5-axis NC milling machine to shake hands and ask the operator Yang Ziheng about the processing data. SAC president Li Fangyong reporting to Hu Jintao on the NC-machining tools which are indispensable for the KEY project and State vice president Hu Jintao is very happy to hear the report, encouraging SAC to give full play to the advanced equipment for the purpose of enhancing productive efficiency. In front of the premises of the NC-machining Center, Hu Jintao is happily joining SAC leading staff, model workers and the representatives of scien-tech picks for photo-taking.

　　In the KEY project sub-assembly workshop, State-vice-president Hu Jintao is approaching to the jigs, initiatively extending warm greetings to the workers who are working energetically with all-out efforts ready to do the over-time jobs while shaking hands with them one by one. CPC SAC Committee secretary Guo Xinghua reported to Hu Jintao that for the purpose of fulfilling the tasks set for the KEY project our workers and staff members are always ready to do over-time work in succession, even if during the National Day, the New Year's Day, the Spring Festival, etc. Hu replied: "SAC workers and staff members are good enough!" Hu Jintao came to the jig of air-intake duct, closely viewing the structure of the air-intake duct, shaking hands with foreman Liu Shigang of No. 34 workshop for sub-assembly while loudly speaking to the workers: "You are really working hard!" Liu Gaozhuo and Li Fangyong told Hu Jintao that the production of KEY project is going on successfully, the production line is through. Hu Jintao is very happy to hear so and passing on a lot of congratulations. Soon descending into the final assembly workshop where Hu Jintao moved to the front of a KEY project aircraft that is under final assembling, the workshop director Li Wei addressed Hu Jintao on the situation of quality and schedule. Hu expressed his hopes that AVIC Corporation I and SAC will fulfill the tasks of production and development by delivering good quality aircraft as soon as possible, making still greater contribution to the cause of national defense.

　　From the final assembly workshop, descending upon the test airport where Hu Jintao climbed up an aircraft of KEY project, sitting in the cockpit, pointing the instruments and asking the operator for the quality and operation performance. Down from the cockpit, Hu Jintao is going to the front of air-intake and then squatting under the fuselage, probing the information on all aspects then Hu put his signature in SAC album for keepsake.
On the ramp of the test airport there is a line of exhibits of automobiles made in Liaoning Province, Hu Jintao embarked a large passenger bus with the branding of SAC/HINO and asking Li Fangyong for the price and future development.

　　In front of the central control tower of test airport, State vice president Hu Jintao is viewing the demonstrations in the air by the KEY project aircraft and F8-II aircraft, during which, Liu Gaozhuo and Li Fangyong gave Hu Jintao an all-round report on the development of the KEY project aircraft, showing that the tasks set forth for development are bound to fulfillment according to the scheduled milestones. After the air demonstration, Hu Jintao climbed up the returned F8-II aircraft, asking the pilot in the cockpit for the performance of this aircraft which is specially developed for exportation, thanking the pilot a lot for his brilliant airshow prior to leaving the aircraft for his car, then shaking hands closely with Li Fangyong and Guo Xinghua quoted as saying that "On you I pin may earnest wish for building up the equipment for China Air Force!" Li Fangyong pledged himself to Hu Jintao we must fulfill the tasks, prove worthy of the great trust by the CPC Central Committee.

　　Accompanying State vice president Hu Jintao inspecting SAC are also CPC Liaoning Provincial Committee Secretary Wen Shizhen, Liaoning Provincial Governor Bo Xilai, CPC Shenyang Municipal Committee Secretary Zhang Xingxiang and Shenyang Mayor Chen Zhengao, etc.
